Another one done, and 25 more days to go

Today I called out to Disneyland and made my reservation for the From Imagination to Celebration tour. Of course that was after 20 minutes of busy signals and 10 minutes on hold, but I got in and got what I want. Now I have to call Guest Relations and find out more details for A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. Since they schedule as part of my vacation package, I would like to know what time the tours are at and if possible which one I am on.
I also have Priority Seating at the Blue Bayou restuarant and Ariel's Grotto character meal the week I am in Disneyland. Both these meals are for lunch. Now I am thinking of taking a tour out to Catalina Island while I am there. Either that or Unversal Studios to ride the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster.

Okay one done, more to go.

Today I called out to Disneyland Reservation for two things. 1) My A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and 2) Gallery/Balcony seating for Fantasmic! Called at 9:59am (CDST) and heard "Sorry out office is closed". Called at 10:00am (CDST) and heard "beep, beep, beep (busy signal). Called at 10:01am (CDST) and got put on hold. I wan't on for very long (5-10 minutes) and when the cast member came on I found out I should have called Disneyland Resort Travel instead of Disneyland Reservation as listed on my confirmation. On the other hand, I was able to get the last seat for Fantasmic! at 10:30pm on the day I wanted. So that is cool!
Anyway I did call Disneyland Resort Travel and they told my that A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour is scheduled ahead of time and not at 30 day out for those who bought the 50th Anniversary Package through them. Evidently my tour is scheduled for the day after the day I arrive. This ensures that eveyone who booked the package does get the tour. That's fine with me. A change in plans but now that I think about it, its actually a nice and better change inplans for me. I won't have to rush out on the day of my check-out and can enjoy the morning more. Besides I'm staying the whole week and I am just changing hotels.
Tomorrow morning I get to go through this all over again when I book Disneyland's 50th Anniversay tour From Imagination to Celebration. Okay I can admit it: I AM A DISNEY FREAK! I let you know what happens.

Disneyland Birthday Countdown

Since I already wished Stacey a happy 24th Birthday, it's now time to get ready to celebrate another special birthday. Disneyland is turning 50 on the 17th of July. I don't know what exactly they (Disney) have planned for that day, although the rumour is that there will be free cupcakes for everyopne and free golden Mickey Mouse ears for each guest who enters the gates that day. I'm just excited I'm going to get to be there that day. Plus there are a few MiceChat meet-ups planned for the weekend, as well as a MiceChat drink-up!
Life is pretty hectic right now. I have the Lincoln University grant program going on right now during the day, play practice for 42nd Street in the evening, and the program ends the day we start our performances. I get to sing and dance and act. Well if you can call it that? I'm glad I got the part of Mac now. At first I thought that meant less dancing, but now I am in Dames and in the 42nd Street Finale ballet, and EVERYONE is in Lullaby of Broadway! (except Charlie and Susan) Now I just have to remember all those dance moves and to sing while I am doing them.

Happy Birthday Stacey!

In case I forget this week, Happy 24th Birthday to my friend Stacey! You are just a youngin' still!
Stacey's birthday is June 17th. It just seems like yesterday she was emailing the Pippin cast and asking where there was a bar to go to after rehearsals to celebrate her birthday. We went to Syberg's and had a great time. I met her future loser of a husband, Dustin. (Just kidding buddy). Actually Dustin is a good guy and a great match for her, although he kept telling me to pull my socks up and now I work with him.
Now its a year later and she is a year older. We won't say anything about me. ;)
So what do you have planned for us this year Stacey-girl?

Theatre Snob part 2

Okay, I'll admit it. I haven't posted a blog in a long time. Stacey threaten to kick my @$$ if I didn't post more often but she was busy with her wedding to Dustin so I'm not worried.
Norbert Leo Butz won a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. He currently is in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on Broadway. Norbert is a Bishop DuBourg graduate and was part of The Guild Players. I know his parent and whole family (1 0f 11 kids) are proud of him. I went to high school with his brothers Steve and Mike and always knew him as "little Norbie". Jim Leibrecht is also probably proud of him. Jim is our director at DB and also of the Summer Alumni Theatre (SAT). Currently we are rehearsing for 42nd Street which will play the weekend of July 7, 8, 9 & 10. At first I was going to be able to be in the show this summer with my vacation plans, then I was in the chorus, and now I am Mac (a stage manager). Come and see us we are good! But Jim announced at reheausals last week to watch the Tonys because Norbert was nominated. He was nominated before for his role in Thou Shalt Not, but he didn't win then. However, tonight on national TV he made South St. Louis proud (plus they showed his wife and parents also).
